We read these words in matthew 25:25, "and I was afraid", and in matthew 25:26 we read these words,"thou wicked and slothful servant".
Fear is Satan's most useful tool, I think, it's so easy to be afraid. We fear the things we don't really understand. We fear we are not good enough, not smart enough, not pretty enough, not rich enough, the list is endless. With fear comes weakness, gossip, harsh words, anger, the truth becomes an after thought, darkness, slander, greed, this list is endless. One thing I know for sure they are all things Satan loves. Fear and darkness are his goals for mankind. Moses 4: 3 "Satan sought to destroy the agency of man". Without agency we have no light, no power over evil, no courage, we become pawns for the evil one, we have no liberty, we become afraid!
In alma 46: 5 -16, is a story we all know, I hope you will read and ponder it. It is about a brave man, a man of GOD, who was not afraid. He raised his "title of liberty" for all to see. He had light, truth, power, and God on his side. I hope we will not let fear hold us back. Raise your " title of liberty" for all to see.
What do you think. How has not being afraid helped you? Love to hear from you. Larry
I also love Abinidi's absolute fearlessness. He knew they would kill him, but he didn't care. He said what he came to say. I love it when he tells the priests, "If you teach the law of Moses, why don't you live it?" and then proceeds to recite the ten commandments to them. That man had some guts, let me tell you. I have learned fearlessness in submitting my writing. It's hard to get critiqued and rejected, but it's worth it!
